March 2018 brings good and bad news….

Good and Bad news from our area as we head into autumn.

Summer extended its treacherous arm into early autumn and gave us an unseasonably hot, windy day on March 18 which resulted in devastation of nearly 70 homes in our neighbouring town of Tathra.  We all feel for the Tathra community and particularly those who lost their homes.  SO what can we do? Financial help is welcome go to Bega Valley Mayoral Appeal Fund  .  Bermagui Chamber of Commerce is running a raffle – those of you who are here over Easter and beyond can purchase tickets or donate at any local business.

But the immediate problem for so many is where to live? Anyone who can help with a property to rent for a minimum of 6 months, preferably furnished – please let me know. You can call me or email julie@julierutherford.com.au  for further information or to register your interest in renting.

The good news is all about property and how good it is to live in this area. The Seaside Fair and Sculpture Bermagui in March were wonderful, and we are now looking forward to welcoming so many visitors for Easter and school holidays many of whom will be attending the world class Four Winds festival and enjoying our beaches and waterways for swimming, boating, snorkelling, paddling and fishing. Other activities are also catered for with golf, tennis, bowls, running/walking/cycling tracks, scrumptious food and beverages to suit al budgets. Visit the Sapphire Coast tourism  here

Property listings are still tight but we have some outstanding buys in the under $500,000 range and some of the best-located properties on the coast in the $1.3million plus range. See the best of the best below. Happy Easter!
