Overview

Quaama village was formerly known as “Dry River” (a name linked to the nearby Dry River) until the early 1900s, and was later known as “Quaamaa”; the present spelling was assigned in 1999. Another historic village many of Quaama’s important community buildings include the Quaama Public School founded in 1877, the School of Arts established in 1902, and the local Anglican church celebrated its centenary in 2007.

The Quaama and Verona districts are located between Cobargo and Bega with many small acreages and farms dotted between some large and long established Bega Valley Dairy farms.  A vibrant and friendly community living in a picturesque south coast location.
